Loopa Bowl

2008-08-19-loopla.jpgIs it a constant battle to keep those Cheerios in the bowl and not on the floor? Reader Charlie tipped us off to this new product. The Loopa bowl resembles a flying saucer, and it keeps the kids' snacks inside with its unique design.

The bowl was invented by parents Brad and Melinda Shepherd as a solution to the Cheerios that abounded in the back seat of their mini-van.

The bowl has a weighted inner bowl that rotates 360 degrees keeping the snacks inside no matter what they do. You can watch a demonstration of this nifty design here.

I love the range of expressions on those faces. the baby on the left looks so unhappy about the cheerio situation, the one in the middle looks like he is trying to figure out how to break out more cheerios and the little girl looks like she is about to argue with her parents about the cheerio situation.

I just received mine today and I must say they are pretty cool. I can see these being fun for more than holding food, for instance as a great sandbox or beach toy. Kids are so imaginative I'm sure they could get creative playing with it. Plus my husband likes it because he likes to say "gyroscopic", lol.
