Made by Oots! Lunchbox

We saw these interesting lunchboxes last year but they weren't yet available. They're now for sale and we're tempted to get one for ourselves. This Dutch beauty passes the parent test: it's food safe and made from BPA-free and phthalate-free polypropylene and safety tested for lead. The deluxe model comes with containers that stack neatly inside.

You get one large box for the main course and four small boxes for sides, snacks and dessert. You can buy additional containers, or you can purchase the standard lunchbox with no containers. The lunch box and containers are dishwasher safe and the containers can be used in a microwave. The Oots lunchbox also has a convenient strap to hold your drink in place. Choose from 3 bright color combinations. Available here.

These are super cute and a cool bento alternative. I wonder how you carry them once you but a water bottle in there? I wish they'd made a way for the bottle to attach to the side and left the handle alone at the top. That's all. Great colors. Dishwasher safe and microwave safe is worth a lot.

adriennep -
I was thinking the same thing about the handle. But on their website it looks like your water bottle fits under a separate little strap, leaving a gap for your fingers to fit under the handle.

They are still plastic! :(

http://www.thetickletrunk.com and http://wwwlifewithoutplastic.com both have non plastic alternatives.

The tickle trunk is the cheaper of the two, but they both have good options.
