Mally Bibs

When is $30 not too much to pay for a bib? When it's the only bib you need. Mally Bibs began in 2005 during a feeding session of founder Nicole Garza's daughter. Eureka struck when she knelt down to wipe some food off her leather shoe and she noticed how quickly and cleanly it came off. Why not a leather bib, she thought?

Since then she's honed the Mally Bib, which now comes in 48 styles (or, for a few bucks more, customize yours with the design/color combo of your choice) and has several really smart features. For one, it fastens with magnets sewn into the bib "arms" so not only does it stay in place easily, it can be hung right on your fridge (brilliant!).

The bib is reversible - one side is flat and the other has a pocket to either catch food that doesn't make it into kiddo's mouth or can hold a snack so kiddo can feed himself. Since it's made of leather, it is long-lasting, durable and can be quickly rinsed under the sink which means less laundry for mom and dad. The only downside we see is that leather isn't absorbent so these would work best for kids eating solid food rather than liquid.

You can find Mally Bibs in stores or order directly from their website. Baby bibs are $33, larger toddler bibs will cost you a few extra bucks. Our European readers (hi!) will be happy to know that Mally Bibs are now available on their home turf through Sarah Jane: Bibs and Bobs.

I have one and it really is the only bib you will ever need (until you tire of the colors). So then you get another one to mix it up a bit.

I am such a sucker sometimes :) As soon as I saw these I had to have one. I looked at their site for an hour-everything is so cute-I love the apple one. I did read somewhere on there that they come out with new designs each year in August so I wanted to wait till then. The option to pick your own colors and design pattern is outstanding. I did find some discounted on Amazon for as little as $20 and got the ladybug and tractor ones.
