Olivia's Organics is bringing their salad to the market. If the recent outbreaks of E-coli have had you worried, the five ready-to-eat varieties of lettuce offered might be a good bet for you. They are all grown free of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers on carefully-selected farms. They're delivered to stores within 24 hours of being packed so you don't have to worry that they've been traveling for days before you even buy them. Choose from Baby Arugala, Baby Spinach, Baby Romaine, Herb, or Spring Mix.

I'm not sure how it being organic means they don't use fertilizer. Indeed, they almost certainly DO use fertilizer (and my cursory perusal of their website seems to support that) simply not synthetic fertilizer. And, of course, some of the e. coli. outbreaks can be traced to natural fertilizer such as manure.
I'm a big fan of supporting organics (though I greatly prefer to support local organic farms to decrease the unnecessary and wasteful shipping), but as far as bacterial outbreaks are concerned organics aren't any better than conventional fare.
i don't see how eating this particular organic lettuce is a way to avoid nasties such as the recent spinach e. coli outbreak... the best solution in my view is to buy local - that way you know exactly where your produce comes from, and the environment is spared the negative effects of shipping and packaging.
