Owl Cupcakes

Despite the stockings and garlands that have already taken over drug stores and shopping malls, it is, technically, still fall. Maybe these charming owl cupcakes will put you back in an autumnal mood.

They're made by Jenny who writes Blempgorfwhich we've been reading for quite some time. She used Mike & Ikes, jelly beans, gummy rings and, of course, ample frosting to concoct these avian confections.

Maybe your kids have some Halloween candy left to contribute to the cause? These would be lots of fun for you and your kids to decorate. And, being nocturnal, make for tasty midnight snacks.

I love owls. These are sooo cute, but I cannot do the gummy rings...ew. I think I can figure something else out.

great post! it inspired me to get off my duff & actually bake these. the store was out of gummy rings, so i substituted gummy lifesavers & used chocolate chips for the eyes. v. cute!
