apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Square One Organics

050809peas.jpg050809sqonelogo.jpgThe story sounds a little like Diane Keaton in Baby Boom: After having kids, Denise Henderson went from a career in finance to founding a line of frozen organic baby food. The Chicago area based company maintains a basic philosophy of healthy eating (only organic fruits, vegetables, grains and water) and organizes its line by color, vitamin letter and age group for easy I.D.

From pumpkin (6 mo.+) to quinoa (8 mo.+) to red bell pepper (10 mo.+), the variety and thought in each item shows that this product line is coming from informed parents (Henderson's husband is part of this joint effort) and nutritional and medical consultants.

Any firsthand local reviews?

I live in Chicago and I have not seen these anywhere--not even at the Whole Foods which carries the Happy Baby line.
