The Milkdot Lunchbox

082609-lunchbox.jpg Although we loved our Strawberry Shortcake lunchbox dearly, we have to admit, this could be a close runner up. We love its modern, minimalist design that is easy to carry by big and small hands alike...

It retails for $25 and is perfect for travel as it flattens out, making it easy for kids to put in their backpack at the end of the day. Let's see your hard sided lunchbox do that!

When I look at the interior of that box, all I see are lots of little corners and seams for food bits to get caught in.

Last year, Lands' End had a lunchbox with a rigid and seamless interior that was perfect from a cleaning perspective (though the interior lining constantly flaked off and, after returning two of them, I'm guessing that's why they're not offered anymore).

It looks like those seems are 'outward facing' instead of hidden which makes the likelihood of crumbs, applesauce and yogurt going rotten all the more likely.

Kudos for the mesh pockets, though. I find them perfect for protecting cereal bars.
