We know lots of parents are on the constant quest for finding a sippy cup that is both safe and practical. Maybe even inexpensive. For the 9 months and over set, consider the Tilty Sippy Cup. It's BPA free, PVC free, dye free and pthalate free.

The Tilty also is easy to clean. You can pop it in to the top rack of the dishwasher or if you wash by hand, you'll be glad to know it does not have a valve for easier cleaning. We didn't know this but the American Dental Association recommends sippy cups without valves so even further reason to think about the Tilty. You can buy them at their website at $6 for two.
I really thought these would be the BEST sippy cups, but I personally can't stand them. I have issues with leaking if i don't close them correctly, which happens a ton, especially when there's a toddler who's positively DYING of thirst [sarcasm] and I'm frazzled. They also hold very little liquid, and if you've got a thirsty bean like I do, you'll be making quite a few cups during the day.

DS loves them. You do have to line up the lid on the cup, but if you do it seems to work fine. I came home from being at the park and DS had left his tipped over on the carpet and their wasn't any mess at all. As far as amount, it holds 8oz which is good for us, but DS is just 13 months.

After reading this article here, we ordered it right away. We've been searching and tried different types of sippy cups for my 1 yr old son, and so far this is the winner! It's easy to clean, simple mechanism (less parts to assemble unlike BornFree), light weight that my son can hold it easily. The only con is it doesn't come with a lid, so it's not suitable for traveling in the diaper bag.
