theredballoonAT.gif When The Red Balloon opened, back in 1996, it was one of the only children's stores in the area which sold handmade, unique furniture. It has only grown since then and has now become one of our favorite stores.

Whether it is a last minute birthday present for a friend's child or a special treat for your own, The Red Balloon is always sure to have just what you were looking for -- even if you don't know exactly what it is you're looking for.

The aprons come in a red polka dot or truck pattern and the watercolors have 8 colors and come with brushes.

redballoonTABLE1.gif The Chalkboard Table by Red Balloon, $285, is a fun addition to your child's room or playroom. The 30" by 21" table and can be finished with the Benjamin Moore paint color of your choice -- there are 5 shades to choose from.

The Red Balloon also offers exclusive initial tees created just for them by City Threads. We love that just about every letter is represented, even Z and Q!

The Red Balloon features gift registry service and offers personalization of some items, as well.

What people seem to love most about The Red Balloon, however, is the clothing. The Red Balloon has a wonderful selection of clothing with everything from Zutano to Skelagamink.

We love that you can find traditional toys and fancy dresses, as well as Ugly Dolls and funky jeans and it's this eclectic mix of items at The Red Balloon that keeps bringing people back.

This store is dangerous....they have the most beautiful clothes for babies and children but they come with a hefty price tag. The clientele are a tad pretentious and the store policies are not te greatest. I bought something on sale (GASP!) once and asked to have it wrapped for a gift, they wouldn't do it b/c it was on sale...she said they do not gift wrap sale items b/c then people come back and try to exchange/return and sale items are final. Very silly policy...I was giving it as a gift to someone in Arizona!
