Lewis Carroll's classic tale is ripe with party inspiration. Just ask Jo-An who fittingly threw this party for her daughter Alison: For my daughter's 6th birthday we threw an 'Alison's Wonderland Mad Hatter Tea Party'.

Our invitations, made in the likeness of Alison as Alice in Wonderland, were shaped like teapots, and we encouraged all the little girls to dress up as their favourite princesses. We made all the decorations, which consisted of life-size paper flowers and characters from Alice in Wonderland as well as dozens of hanging paper lanterns.
The girls drank tea (pink lemonade) and ate finger sandwiches, pizza, cookies, cupcakes and lots of cake! We also had a beading station where the girls made necklaces and bracelets that they all got to take home as part of their loot bags, which consisted of striped and polka-dotted tea cups and saucers, mini cupcake lip glosses, hair clips, nail polish and more paper flowers. They played 'Pin the Clock on the White Rabbit' and finished the afternoon with a slice of topsy-turvy cake made by Alison's aunt as a gift. So sweet and so much fun!
Thanks, Jo-An!

Love the flock of paper lanterns above the table. Nothing wrong with tissue paper pom poms, but it's nice to see something different.
