My Party: Chloe & Noi
Washington, DC

Leianne used our My Party submission form to share the terrific panda party she threw for her twins. Leianne writes: Chloe & Noi love Ni Hao, Kai-Lan's trip to China to find the baby panda. I thought a panda party would be a great answer to creating a theme around something they love while keeping the tv theme to a minimum...

I did black, white and green as the colors and had bamboo accents with the plates and food presentation. I got the great panda shirts for the twins from Colette Kids - I got a panda hoodie for myself too. I made panda cupcakes and cookies decorated with mini oreos. For the gift bags, I hand sewed peeking pandas on denim backpacks - I found all the supplies on Etsy. The gift bags included a panda book, handmade panda bear hats from The June Bride, panda boo boo bags from Wee Gallery, and panda crackers. For the kids and adults, I did custom water bottle labels from Print Your Party. I turned to etsy again for the invitations from Westwillow. I made three types of "panda crunch" - snack mixes to celebrate the twins being 3 which was a great take-home for everyone.

We had 35 people with 5 sets of twins (all 3 years old) -- three of the sets of twins are turning 3 October 13, 14, and 15th! We featured rock music with Casey a local musician who has a rock show at the neighborhood library. His signature song is an instrumental of Queens, "We will rock you."

At the end of the night Chloe asked when her next panda party was going to be - the ultimate compliment!

Thanks Leianne!

We love a good party! If you'd like to share the good ideas and photos from your child's celebration with the Ohdeedoh community please submit through the My Party form found here.

I love the picture of the two of them, how can you not smile when looking at that?

The shirts and goodie-bags and cupcakes and everything else are great! I love that you had a live musician, how fun!
