Kids are often at their best in the morning and Dana capitalized on this for a swell a.m. soiree. Dana writes: We hosted a Pancake Pajama Party on our front porch and front yard for our daughter Isabella's 2nd birthday. Invitations resembled a sunny-side up egg with bacon strips asking everyone to wear their PJs...
Breakfast was served including pancakes, crepes, mini muffins, donuts on a stick, juice boxes and coffee, and fresh fruit served in waffle cones and topped with whipped cream (a big hit for the little ones!) Activities included making Fruit Loop necklaces, playing "monkeys on the bed" with a parachute and balls, plus a silly dress-up game that had all the guests laughing.
Traditional birthday cake was replaced with a cinnamon roll for each child, topped with their own candle to blow out with Bella. Everyone was sent home with a cereal bowl filled with a mini box of cereal, a nightlight, a packet of hot chocolate, a 2-pack of PopTarts, and a Silly Putty egg. The best part was it all took place between 9am and 11am and everyone still had the rest of their Saturday to enjoy. A fun and memorable day!
Thanks, Dana!
We love a good party! If you'd like to share the good ideas and photos from your child's celebration with the Ohdeedoh community please submit through the My Party form found here.
I absolutely love this idea. We have taken to suggesting brunch as the best time for us to socialize with our young son.

Lovely Idea.
Where do I find a necklace like the one the little girl is wearing in the first picture?

Thanks for the compliments everyone - the party really was such a great time. The best part was getting up on Saturday morning and not having to change out of our pajamas. We set up a griddle in the driveway and served up the fresh pancakes, along with all of the other goodies.
As for the necklace question, I found it (with a matching bracelet) at our local dollar store! Super cute, isn't it?!!
