This may be overkill since we've hinted about it and given you a sneak preview already, but we can't help ourselves. The DwellStudio Baby Collection for Target is now online for all to see.
Six bedding collections, two furniture lines, nursing gliders, rugs, lamps, pillows and more. Many items (especially the furniture) will only be for sale online.

See the whole collection here. Has anyone had a DwellStudio spotting in the wild (your local Target) yet?
The blue and pink crib sets/accessories and blue and pink clothes have been out at the Target on Elston in Chicago since last week Wednesday!

dwellstudio has actually made modern crib bedding for walmart also (only they don't use their name).

Is it just me, or is anyone else getting tired of all the tasteful knock-offs out there? Seems like variations on the Netto collection are now popping up everywhere, even Wal-Mart, and now Target... Maybe in the interests of originality, people will strike out on their own, and create bold unique environments for their babies (anybody paint an IKEA crib red? anyone else use a doctor's cabinet as a changing table?)...
I know that it is an improvement over what used to be out there prior to 2003, but all this good taste is getting a little bit boring... Or maybe I am just reacting to it because it is a knock-off, and makes even the original seem a little less beautiful...

I can't believe they're so pink and blue. It's retro in a bad way and just really disappointing and lame. I expected better.

I nearly passed the aisle as they were stocking it at my local SuperTarget, but the circles blanket and pillow caught my eye! I can't wait to have an excuse to buy a new nursery set! Well... maybe I can wait... as long as DwellStudio stays at Target!

I'd like to know if the cribs are convertible in any way....that is probably the biggest reason I wouldn't buy one since it would only last a couple of years anyway....but I'd rather ONLY spend $300 as opposed to $800 for a similar idea...it is a shame that tasteful also has to equal way overpriced!

Well, the Montessori method for infants does away with cribs entirely, and puts a mattress directly on the floor (a "floor bed")... that's a possibility, and much cheaper than cribs and converters or toddler beds...

I went to Target this morning, specifically for the "circles" storage box but they only had about a third of the line there. So disappointing! They said they don't know when more will come in, it just depends on what is on the truck. I wish the line came out 10 months ago. I'd be all over the circles bedding. Way nicer than anything at buybuybaby and just the right price.

The Olivia and Zoo stuff has been at the Minneapolis area Targets since the beginning of last week. It's pretty cute, with great accessories as well.

The collection is already picked over in Los Angeles. Cute overall although I wish it was less neutral.
And as for painting an Ikea crib-- don't. We tried (there was a link on AT one time) and after weeks of work we had to throw it away and buy a second gulliver. I have no idea how someone else did it was but they must have dipped it. To quote my husband, "that was a miserable couple of weeks." We like the crib but painting-- bah!

I'm all for target and ikea and their desire to bring design to the masses! After all, I AM one of the masses, and am in desperate need of decent design....
I especially love the crib in the center and its linens....

I'm posting on various sites trying to get some feedback on this Target line. Has anyone noticed that the furniture items keep appearing and disappearing on target.com? That, or they appear as currently unavailable (which they all appear to be right now). Not filling me with confidence. Anyone see anything in person? I'm DYING to buy a crib, but I don't want to get ripped off if it's shoddy.

I like knock-offs, it's when I can finally afford nice design. :)

has anyone tried the Dwellstudio glider? I can't find reviews on it anywhere. I decided to take a risk and register for it because I like the design and it's hard to find decent looking gliders out there. But the cushions look thin and this thing doesn't look too comfy :P ...still, I'm hoping Dwell would put out a decent quality product! I would love to hear any feedback.
