Help Out In Your Community This Monday

President-elect Obama has asked Americans to create the change they wish to see by volunteering their time this Monday to celebrate the memory of Martin Luther King, Jr.
We took a look and found lots of events to benefit children:

In San Francisco: Children's Book Drive and Food Drive in Glen Park

In Chicago: March the Mart

In NYC: Create a Public School Library on MLK Day

In Los Angeles: Jumpstart Reading and Literacy Volunteer Program

In Boston:Online Mentoring for Youth with Disabilities

In Washington DC: Operation No Kid Hungry

In the Seattle Area: Help make Baby fleece blankets and buntings for WestSide Baby, a non-profit agency that provides essential materials to children in need in South King County.
