Freedom from matching pieces...freedom to use any colour... freedom to mix: old with new, IKEA with unique or custom pieces, ornate with simple. The modern nursery is best captured in the books by Judith Wilson's books -- "Babies Rooms from Zero to Three" and "Children's Spaces from Zero to Ten".

Freedom from the licensed character theme decorating. Flexibility in using furniture not originally designed for a nursery. Art that isn't necessarily framed prints. Non gender-traditional colors.
