So you're looking for coverage of specifically west coast kids' happenings...

Darn. One of very few times that I wish I didn't live in Chicago!

Do you have to actually have children of your own yet?

Hi everyone -

Thanks for your interest.

We are hoping to find someone in the West, because we don't have an editor there currently, but, of course, we are happy to take a look at submissions from interested bloggers anywhere.

And, no, it is not a requirement that you be a parent.

I still don't understand why. Even if our kids are up at 6:30, we're still three hours behind the East (three hours late for many).

Now I'm confused. Is it a time thing? I figured it was more to get a West-coast perspective. I suppose it would be good to clear that up. I'm actually in Denver, which is considered the West, but if you are looking for someone on the coast and on Pacific time, I won't be eligible. Perhaps you can elaborate?

when you say "part-time job", 2-4 posts a day, is this a paid position? how do you pay?

Genxmom abd schnappycat, I'm guessing they don't post in real time. Most blogs postt ahead of time.

Hi - thanks for the questions:

Yes, it is a paid position, our freelance bloggers are paid per post.

We are hoping for a west coast editor just to spread things out and get a new regional perspective, not because of a time zone issue - the blog is based on eastern time and yes, posting ahead of time is possible.
