The Infantino Sling has been recalled.Pictured at left, this popular sling, which is sold at Target, Walmart, and Babies 'R' Us, and a host of other big retailers, has now been recalled, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Scary stuff! According to the CPSC, the problem is the plastic piece holding the shoulder strap in place, which can break, causing the carrier to release and dropping the child being carried.
Infantino has received 10 reports of plastic sliders breaking, including eight reports of babies falling out of the carriers. There were four reports of impact injuries where the child was taken to the emergency room. One of these children fractured her skull.
