We can hardly wait. MUJI, actually two MUJI stores, will be opening in NY soon. In the meantime, you can buy a selection of MUJI items from the MoMa online store. Here are some of our favorites in time for back to school season:

This bouquet of 36 colored pencils is a MUJI classic. It comes in a recycled cardboard storage tube and is $18.

If you're feeling brave, get them the felt tip pens instead. 24 colors in a nylon pouch goes for $6 (but it's currently on backorder).

Organize other arts and crafts supplies in these stacking makeup boxes. Available in small, medium and large; from $6 to $12.

We know there are many MUJI fans out there. Share with us your favorite MUJI purchases.

Wow. 18 bucks for pencils. What a bargain. The important thing is to look cool, folks. Design is expensive. Those MUJI people must've spent years designing pencils to go in a round tube. Then each one is hand crafted by artisans by candle light and given a wax seal of approval from the prime minister.

    Wake up people. It's pencils.

As an artist, I've actually paid more than that for colored pencils (for 36: about double, actually). However, I have to agree with everton...I would never buy $18 colored pencils for kids.
