Allan McIntyre Design

As parents, we're inundated with cheap novelty furniture. Allan McIntyre's Cabinet For Life was designed to counteract the trend of throwaway furniture and to give parents something better. He uses a mix of American Black Walnut, Scottish Wych Elm, Scottish Oak and Sycamore to create this piece.

On the more whimsical end, Mr. McIntyre designed the Lobby Bench, a pint-sized place to perch and store shoes and hang jackets and mittens. There's even a small bowl for treats or keys. The design was inspired by the "heritage associated with the fishing communities situated on the east nuek of Fife."
