Celery Furniture

New items for the modern nursery from Celery caused a stir at the NYIGF. The Lullaboo line of slotted (i.e., mortise and tenon joinery) is designed and fabricated in Bozeman, Montana by local craftspeople.

We like the design. And we love the fact that each of the Lullaboo pieces is eco-friendly and healthy for baby.

The selection of bamboo with non-toxic adhesives and formaldehyde-free medium density fiberboard combined with low-VOC finishes affirms our commitment to lasting and eco-friendly materials for all our furniture.

The equine inclined will be happy to know there's a Rocking Pony, and for the child in all of us (who have the floor space), the matching Rocking Horse.

Other pieces in the Lullaboo line include a cradle and a crib. Each is available in an assortment of finishes you can preview here and are made to order. Each comes with a mallet for easy assembly. Prices start at $165 for the Rocking Pony and top out at $1195 for the crib. Available at Sparkability.

Very beautiful. But I hope that along with these insanely expensive pieces we are shown some cheaper options. As a mother-to-be, I certainly don't have over $1000 to spend on a crib that the child will only use for, at most, two years.
