A step towards modern. When we were looking for a glider, Dutailier was the name we heard over and over again. The gliding motion was superb, but frankly speaking, the looks were not.
Apparently, we weren't the only ones who felt this way because Dutailier has introduced the sleeker Adagio glider.
The leather glider has parents' comfort in mind. Besides gliding, Adagio reclines, has a plush seat cushion and extra lumbar support. The best feature of all is the built-in pop up footrest (a la la-z-boy) for those without extra space for an ottoman.
We know rockers and gliders are a source of confusion and frustration for many of you (see here, here, here, here, and here) so we're glad to see Dutailier moving towards modern. On the down side, it's $1299 and seems to only come in chocolate. Available here.
Blech...to each his own I guess, but I just think that thing is ugly. Also, it doesn't look comfy at all (which doesn't mean that it isn't).

Holy crap, look at the size of that thing. It's also quite oogly.
i don't think you can really go wrong with grandma's wooden rocking chair.

We bought the Intermezzo version in their comfort recliner collection and it is the most comfortable chair I've ever sat in. We got the microfiber one instead of the leather so it ended up being around $900ish. But we didn't need to get an ottoman.
I wanted a chair that we could use for a long time, not just for the baby, but for regular life and this chair was a good choice for us.

This chair is nice, but I bought the Intermezzo model in black leather. There are 5 models to choose from and they are available in many colours, leather, or microsuede. The reclining feature is a bonus too!
Most gliders are so ugly! We wanted a chair that we would use forever. And Gliding is better for breatfeeding than rocking.
I found the price comparable to other leather recliners. I thought I would have to buy an ugly wooden style glider until I found this chair. Thumbs up!!!
