Inspiration: IKEA Lillberg Rocker Dressed Up

2008-11-11-lillberg.jpg

So some of us love IKEA's Lillberg Rocker, and some of us don't. Either way you've got to admit, it cleans up very nicely. The Lillberg is no longer our nursing rocker but the wide proportions make it great for storytime. We love its simple frame and cream canvas cushions. Just a bit of creativity dresses it up so beautifully. (Another shot after the jump...)

Remember this picture from Morgy's Well-Adorned Nursery?

All you need are some sheepskins or a few nice pillows to perk up the Lillberg and you've got a cozy place for a snuggle and a good book.

does anybody know if this rocker is comfortable for baby and nursing?

I'm short and I find that rocker really uncomfortable. If my back is supported, my feet can't reach the floor!
I've never tried it for nursing, so I can't help you there!

I tried using it for nursing and found that because the seat is so deep it made it a bit difficult (I'm 5'7" and couldn't find a comfortable position), so we switched it out with another chair in our house. However, my daughter is now a little older and it's back in her room since it's perfect for cuddles and storytime.
