Pottery Barn is going high-tech. No ordinary bulletin board, the Bedford Smart Linen Pinboard comes with built in speakers and an MP3 player docking station, as well as a discreet recessed shelf for charging cell phones and PDAs. In older kids' rooms that tangle of wires from their burgeoning electronics collections can be a real eyesore, and this is one way to combat the issue. Check out the closeup, below.
While white linen may not be the most practical choice in most children's rooms, we are happy to see furniture design starting to recognize our children's increasingly gadget-laden lives. In a small room, where shelf space may be at a premium, we love the idea of the integrated speakers and docking station, and of course, it never hurts to have a bulletin board in a kid's room, for displaying their photos, ticket stubs, and other treasures. What a great solution to the "recharge station clutter" problem!
A bit pricey - but any docking station will cost you, and this one fills multiple needs.
Too bad it only comes in white, tho I guess it can be painted...

they don't have the "charging station" like this item, but pottery barn also makes for pbteen some simple wall shelves with built in speakers and ipod docks.
