A new school year deserves a new desk, especially if that desk is the George Nelson designed Swag Leg Desk. Swag furniture came into being after George decided that it would be, "...beautiful to have some kind of sculptured legs on a piece of furniture," and we agree. More pictures below, including a nice closeup of those multicolored dividers.
The Swag Leg Desk has a white laminate top surface, solid walnut side and back panels, and 4 hardwood dividers that come in orange, spa blue and chartreuse. The side and back are solid walnut.
Shown like this, it looks like sculpture. This is definitely a desk that will transition to college and beyond. We especially like that it has a grommet for cable management.
Tall enough for a standard adult desk chair, and lovely enough for any room...now if we could only afford it. The Swag Leg Desk is $1,745.00.

My couch and chair for my living room didn't cost that much, I sure as heck am not going to spend that on a desk for a kid who still can't keep the marker on the paper! ;) Lovely as it may be.

It's lovely, but ouch -- that price tag! If anyone's getting this desk, it's ME, not the Crayon Wielder.

wow...thats a very expensive desk for a child...I've been coveting this beautiful desk for years...I'm not sure I could ever justify the desk for myself much less a kid...

Its beautiful, although I don't like the multi coloured cubbies. Still, no matter how much money I had, I couldn't see spending this much money on a desk.
