The usual options for a nursing rocker include wood, upholstered and even plastic. But don't forget about rattan!

Rattan adds texture and an organic element to any room. It's also usually very budget friendly. We like the look of the rattan rocker in the photo above. Looks like the parents wrapped the bottom of the rocker with silver duct tape - perhaps to reference the silver ottoman? A little research and we figured out that the rocker is the IKEA Gunghult. Unfortunately, it's no longer available but if you're looking for something similar and affordable check out the IKEA Hejka.

Forget the rocker...I'm in love with that giraffe pillow!

Does anyone know where the prints on the wall came from? I especially love the top row that look like stamps.

This is very cute but an armless rocker doesn't seem all that practical, at least not for rocking/nursing to sleep...

When I was looking for a rocker for my nursery, I researched wicker and found that it was coated in a terrifying cocktail of chemicals (to hold up outdoors I assume). Is rattan free and clear? I like the look of it.

Forget the rocker, the silver poof is what I am after! (since dosa doesn't sell theirs anymore)

BetsyGinDC those wall bird prints are from Land of Nod. Here's the link http://www.landofnod.com/family.aspx?c=1137&f=443#

How do you nurse in a rocker with no arms? And no back support?

Like the coveted Eames rocker, this one seems like it would roll backwards unless your feet are firmly on the ground. Oy.

I second the silver poof. Do we know where it's from?

Nope --I've checked the original site, and she doesn't mention the poof, but am sure would reply if we ask :-)

Hi there,
When I placed that rocker in my daughter's nursery, I too wondered about the practicality. However, I have actually found nursing with no 'arms' a lot better than I thought I would. Its really comfortable, and the rocker doesnt have a whole lot of 'rock' so no fear of tipping back. My daughter is long, and I actally find chairs with arms get in the way when she's nursing! I use that chair daily to nurse, read to and rock my daughter and recommend to anyone not convinced about it!
Also, there is definately no duct tape as suggested wrapped around it, that's stainless steel and is part of the rocker!
The pouf is from Domayne furniture (in Australia) -- not sure whether you can get them online but saw a similarish one on Making it Lovely blog a while back avail in the US.
Yep, cushion from Dwell. The cards I bought in a little shop in Tasmania.
Hope that helps
Cheers, Nic
