We found this beautiful nursery Sarah Jane designed for her little boy Cash on Flickr. The subtle use of color drew us to her photos. The attention to details - like Antoine the donkey, vintage children's books, a pewter cup and a silver spoon lining the shelf - impressed us.
Sarah Jane explains her decorating style:
I tend to decorate in a bit of a hodge-podge style--some new, some found, some hand-made. I bought the shelf above the changing table at Pottery Barn Kids, the rug at Urban Outfitters, and the diaper pail at World Market.
We found the plant stand/book shelf at a garage sale, the dresser for $60 at an antique mall in St. Paul, MN (which we had to shove in the back of our station wagon and still squeeze in four adults), and the vintage paint-by-numbers at a small-town festival.
Cash's nursery sort of started with the Hatch Show Print posters Wes and I picked up in Nashville last year. (See first pic.) I liked the muted reds and the blues and wanted to try to bring more of those colors ito the room.
I never stick to any original plan I might make up, but the room constantly changes as I find and make new items.
(Thanks, Sarah Jane!)
Love this! Great job.

Creative but different & nonconformist. Plus, the baby won't outgrow it in five minutes. Nice job!
