Mini Tour: Dylan's Teeny-Tiny Thunderdome

Two kids enter. All kids have fun! (Actually, it's just one kid in this case, but we couldn't resist that opener.) Dylan's fabulous room (aka "The Thunderdome") answers two questions: How can you create a beautifully uncluttered nursery in a 9x12' room? And how can rockstar flames be incorporated tastefully into baby decor?

Dylan's mom Kara is (no surprise) a design pro who used to create store designs for Baby Gap. This space is a wonderful reminder of the simplicity of a young baby's needs: a crib, a chair, a small dresser-cum-change-table, and a few lovely, well-chosen accessories -- all against a soothing wall color. It really can be that easy.

Thanks for sharing, Kara!

Very clever use for all the little nooks in his room.

I absolutely LOVE the wall color too! It is very subdued, modern, gender neutral and will be appropriate for another baby in the future, or an office. Awesome job!

Very soothing, I think I want to take a nap there!

You lucked out to have a room with so many nooks, or maybe that's just a closet sans door.

Gorgeous.

I LOVE this room & I'm thrilled to find someone else with such a small space. Is the entire room 9x10 or does this not include the nooks? We're going to build a wall in the living room of our one bedroom & I'm not sure how big/small it should be. Thanks!
