Meg sent us in these photos of the wonderful nursery she put together for her son, Sawyer. She says:
Aside from seeing my son for the first time, there was nothing I was more excited for while being pregnant than putting together a nursery...
We wanted to make our son's first place in this world vibrant and unique (just like him). With the use of alot of pieces we already had, a special feature wall and a few extra touches, the end result was a warm and modern niche where he can grow from baby to boy.
Thanks, Megan!

Thanks for all the compliments on the nursery!
Mobile- I made the mobile using a crochet ring for the top, and covered that in ribbon. The letters and shapes were untreated wood that I found at my local Michaels. I painted them in correlating colors and covered one side of each with different printed cardstocks. Then I drilled tiny holes into the tops and attached them to the ring using thin thread.
Crib- It is indeed the Ikea Gulliver. We love it and can't beat the price.
Tables- the blue table holding the books was handmade by my husband. We love the metal legs and feet of the table, which he fabricated himself out of industrial products from the hardware store.
The changing table is an Ikea dresser we've had sitting unused for years. And the white locker is also Ikea. Not the most original furniture, but it absolutely fit the bill for the look we wanted.
Feature wall- We saw this treatment of unfinished, imperfect circles in a home design/decor magazine used in a living room but when we decided on the colors for the nursery we thought it would look kind of playful and modern in a nursery, so we tried it. We used a projector to project the circle design onto the wall and just freehand traced the circles and painted them.

I know exactly what article you used for inspiration! I've actually had the exact same one tucked away for 2 years now planning to use it in my own son's room one day! Bravo on a perfect implementation of it! :)

Hi, I love the blue table that you guys made. I'd love to try something similar. Would you be willing to share the dimensions of the box portion and the leg height? I love the look of the proportions of table versus leg height.
