Name: Oliver
Age: 2
Location: Providence, Rhode Island
Oliver is barely two years old, but he’s already lived in three different bedrooms on two different sides of the country. He just moved out of this room (his second) and even though it came together amidst some chaos and compromise and he only lived there for a year, it holds a ton of wonderful memories that we want to hold on to forever.

Ohdeedoh Survey:
Inspiration: All the things we love: the ocean, Rhode Island, England, food (Oliver’s dad is a chef originally from the UK), design, cars, boats, trains, and adventure.
Favorite Element: The round boat painting and model ship that were made by Oliver's grandpa when he was a kid, the Noguchi lamp that was a wedding gift from one of our best friends, and the fabric book that was sewn by my Mom when I was little.
Biggest Challenge: The paint color. We knew we would be in the house for only a year so we didn’t bother to repaint. The purple walls weren’t too bad, but the ceiling (which you can’t see in these photos) was painted bright yellow.
Proudest DIY: I embroidered the “seaweed” pillow in Oliver’s bed.
Biggest Indulgence: Almost everything was either a gift or was repurposed from another part of the house. Framing the artwork is probably what cost us the most.
Best advice: It may never be perfect, but love it anyway.

"This is London" is actually a children's book- there are a lot of other cities in the same "This is..." series (NY, Rome, Venice, Paris, Hong Kong). Try Amazon.

The shelf is from hold everything, sadly not around anymore. And as Maevers said, "This is London" is a book by the amazing illustrator Miroslav Sasek .

Such a cute room - love it! We're looking at doing a "travel" theme for our new son so I like seeing how you incorporated the map and other elements. Very nice!
