Obama and McCain Paper Dolls by Dover Publications

2008-09-10-paperdolls.jpg

Kids old enough to understand seem as energized by the presidential campaigns as the rest of the country. We've seen more than a few kids in our neighborhood wearing campaign tshirts on the playground so perhaps they'd like these presidential paperdolls by Dover Publications. Surely you can rig up a paper podium for them to enact the debates.

The Obama set includes Michelle and their daughters Malia Ann and Sasha while wife Cindy tags along in the McCain set. Both sets include both casual and formal outfits so your kids can set up an inaugural ball for the winner and...mini-golf for the loser.

Despite Obama's pinhead and McCain's diminutive neck, these paperdolls will make an interesting keepsake from a historic presidential race. ($7.99 each.)

What's next? Hillary and Palin Barbies?

Funny! The McCain doll looks a good 30 years younger than it should, though.

why is senator obama's pose so effete? Plus, isn't he a whole bunch taller than mccain? What happened to senator mccain's neck? and why one of his paper clothing options a senior's bib? http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B000FOFX94 (giggle)

Michelle Obama's flesh tone seems off to me...

It looks like they just took stock paper doll bodies and drew up new heads to slap on them! However they did seem to capture McCain's stiffness pretty well. Obama's brown suit reminds me of something off the set of Are You Being Served? I think it's because of the pointy shoes.
