"Even if you don't buy it from us - buy your child something really, really wonderful." That's the spirit over at the Funky Moose.

They've got a lot of our favorites available like the bumble bee wheely bug, and Candeloos, and they also carry a lot of other special toys and gear that would make perfect gifts.

We love this Tidy Books Bookcase. We like seeing these kinds of bookcases in kids' rooms because it creates the feel of a library and allows the kids to actually see the covers of the books.

It's also great for small spaces because, although it can hold up to 85 books, it has a very small footprint.
It's made of beechwood and will require simple assembly on your part.

A few of our other picks below the jump...

Funky Moose is located in the UK, so it's appropriate that they would sell this chunky Wooden London Bus.

We hate it- but a lot of little boys are drawn to it- construction. This rubberwood set of construction equipment includes pneumatic drills compactor & compressor, wheelbarrow, pick and shovel, 2 traffic cones, and 2 barriers.

This Grobag Egg not only reads the temperature in your baby's room, but also changes color to let you know if it's too hot or cold. This creates a safer sleeping environment for baby.

that's a beautiful bookcase! I've been looking for something just like it. I wonder what U.S. vendors carry something similar? (besides PBK)

I have the same question - I'd love to find somewhere in the US that sells that bookcase. Perfect for our tiny nursery.

I don't understand the thermometer. Why wouldn't you know by yourself if the room was too hot or too cold?

Was it necessary to specify gender here? Let kids be who they are and like what they will, rather than boxing them in with your expectations of what they should feel based on their assigned gender.
