Why wouldn't DwellStudio have drapery and shades? They're known for their bold patterns and fabrics. So, we were happy to see at ICFF they have teamed up with The Shade Store to do just that.

They have Roman Shades, Laminated Shades, Full-length Drapes, and Cornices in all of the familiar patterns like Motif Robin and Transportation Multi.

We like the clean look of the Roman Shades and the Laminated Shades. You can also choose to have blackout liners added to them.

These aren't cheap, but if you can't sew, and you wanted to make the windows a focal point- these might be just what you're looking for. Check out the collection at The Shade Store.

Okay, I just went to the Shade Store to see about cost because I'm looking at roman blinds for my living room. It seems, according to their cost that ONE roman shade for ONE of my windows would run me about $321.00 and that's with NO extra frills whatsoever, just the shade. I don't own my home and haven't had a lot of experience decorating, but is that NORMAL?? Because I mean....$321?!?! For one shade!? Maybe if you told me that was the price to outfit the five windows in my living room I wouldn't be as shocked. Man, it's going to take me a while to recover from that one!

When I was pregnant, I priced some roman shades for my large nursery window and they can get very expensive, bluestar. It doesn't shock me that Dwell's are in the high end.

That being said, I'm excited to see this! I'm looking for new window treatments (preferably with blackout lining) for the nursery and have Dwell bedding. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like they have the alphabet pattern, but I might be able to find a coordinating fabric. Although the price is definitely something to consider. Eeep! I'll probably stick with my blinds or opt for something less expensive.

Bluestar, that's (unfortunately) totally normal for custom-made blinds. That is why I bought fabric and a pattern and am going to a seamstress to have mine made!
