This weekend, our local park was filled with families flying kites, and watching all of those little kids out there, learning how to make their kite dip and dance, inspired us to seek out a great kite resource.
Into The Wind is a Colorado-based kite company founded in 1980 by architects George Emmons and Jim Glass. What we love about Into The Wind is that it is both an online kite store, and a resource for all things kite-related. If you are new to kite flying, you might want to check out their Kite 101 site for tips, tricks, and instruction. While you might not be ready for the M-Quad stunt kite, at right, below are a few of our favorite family kites.

I love, Love, LOVE Into the Wind. They have something for everyone and aren't afraid to recommend a cheaper product over a more expensive one. You can tell they are mostly concerned with furthering the hobby of, and a general passion for, kites.

Into the Wind has been one of my favorite stores since I was a little kid. If you are ever in Boulder the store is eye candy for kids of all ages. And, anything that catches your eyes is likely to either require kids to think or be active. The Kites are beautiful, but most of them are a little on the expensive side, for anyone who is not a serious kite flyer.
