2007-11-21-kangarooboo logo.jpgThere aren't too many companies that we truly feel good about shopping at. Since it's a safe bet to say you're all about to do some shopping in the next month, here's one we recommend: Kangarooboo.

2007-11-21-rolling turtle.jpgKangarooboo was founded by Jennic and Justin Law. They are highly selective about the toys that they choose, choosing only those that they would let their own two-year-old and four-year-old play with. So you'll find quality wooden toys designed for open-ended play. While most of the toys are made in Europe, there is even a filter to take out any toys made in China when you're searching on their site. (incase the recent recalls have made you extra cautious) You can shop by age, brand, or country of origin which makes for really fun and convenient shopping. Here are a few of our picks- beginning with this Rolling Turtle from HABA.

Another great stocking stuffer, the Montgomery Spinny Speller allows kids to make up to three dozen simple words. It's made in the USA of New England rock maple.

This Doll Crib is by Zid Zid Kids. It's handmade, handpainted, and we love the classic 1930's design.

If you're looking for a unique piggy bank, try this Giant Pig Money Box from Vilac.

Not only can you feel good about the quality of the toys you're purchasing, but Jennic is a cancer survivor, and a portion of every sale will go to children's charity. They have begun with pediatric cancer charities, and will continue to expand their list of charities in the future.

You can also feel good about ordering from Kangaroo Boo because of how fabulous the founders are. I can't speak about Justin, but Jennic was extremely helpful and very kind when I ordered from them last week.
