Nursery Fabrics

nurseryfabricsLOGO.jpg The nursery design process can at times be a bit daunting and something as simple as walking into a fabric store may be intimidating and overwhelming. For those who prefer to stick to the comfort of online shopping, Nursery Fabrics is here to help.

Created in 2007, Nursery Fabrics is a family-owned business operated by husband and wife team Derick and Daphne Schultz. According to the Web site, their mission is, "to provide beautiful high quality fabrics at a reasonable price while providing excellent customer service.

The fabrics offered at Nursery Fabrics range from the expected pink/blue choices to the sublime. Somehow, using black toile seems like an obvious nursery choice we never thought of before!

For those who are digging the blue/brown trend, their 100% cotton multicolored dots on a white background seems like a winner.

And, we're intrigued by their Green Animal Tale fabric. We think it would make a great choice for reupholstering a chair.

Finally, Nursery Fabric's Pink Paisley is versatile in that it could easily be used for a more traditional nursery as it would be for a funky one.

While it may seem counterintuitive to purchase fabrics online, it isn't a new phenomenon. Places like Reprodepo have been around for almost 10 years. What's nice about Nursery Fabrics, is that if you aren't 100% about a certain fabric, you can order a 3.5" x 3.5" swatch for $1. So if you're looking to make new curtains, a sling or some pillows you now have one more option.

I'm sure the customer service is excellent as they say, but that does not make me want to spend 2.5 times more per yard of each of these fabrics than they are at my local high end fabric shop.

What a great website! Love the fabrics, and found the prices are very reasonable. We are making drapes for the nursery and found just what we want.
