apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

This doesn't apply to kitchen and bath month, but I am hoping someone can give me a little guidance.
I am on the verge of purchasing a fatboy beanbag - we really need a place to lounge for family and baby on the floor in our main room, however I am having major trepidation about safety...
My son is 8 months old, and I know he would have a great time climbing and playing on a such a big comfy pillow. I have no plans to leave him unsupervised with a bean bag, but is the fatboy safe for babies/toddlers??
Does anyone have experience with this product??
