i had a question about the ikea gulliver crib. i know many at readers have it and love it. i was wondering if the fact thats its lower than other cribs and doesn't have a siderail that slides up and down has been hard on anyones back??

my sons crib has seen its last days (it was a hand-me-down) and a piece of the particleboard has broken... its probably fixable but i'd rather just be safe and get a new one. but hes not too far from a toddler/twin bed... so i dont want to spend too much. i love the clean lines of the gulliver and noticed many of the more modern cribs don't have moveable rails...

Any recommendations for an infant bath that will work in a small NYC apartment? The eurobath is going straight back--it's HUGE! thanks.

totheworld - we hemmed and hawed over the tub decision more than anything else because our bathroom is SO tiny and using our kitchen sink wasn't really an option. We ended up buying a little, cheap sling at Babies 'R Us (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2668132 - out of stock at the moment, but not hard to find) and it worked out well. It's quite small and we just tucked it above the medicine cabinet when not in use. We didn't bathe the baby much for the first few months and we found that around 6 weeks he preferred to just be in the tub without the sling. I put one arm under his head and he would start kicking his feet with delight.

Good luck!

You could also try just using the bear bath sponge. I liked that because it keeps the baby warm during the bath. We put one at the bottom of the infant tub, in fact, but you could use it alone at the bottom of the big tub too.

totheworld - How about your kitchen sink or a bath bucket?
