Roundup: Solutions for Small Space Living
I have a RANDOM question that I want people's thoughts on.
I have a 16 month old that has a birthday at the end of December. I just found out I am very early pregnant and due the end of December.
Out of all the things I could be stressing out about right now (ie-two kids, yikes! two carseats? daycare? keep working?) I seem to be most stressed about 2 birthday parties in the already crazy month of December.
Has anyone pulled off or attended a birthday for siblings that arn't twins? Does one kid get the shaft? How do those things work? Can someone enlighten me so I can start worrying about more important stuff. ha.

not in december, but we have 2 boys/2years apart; turning 5 & 3/may and june. we have had the last 2 bdays together, and will again this year. then on there bdays it is their special day with immed family. no party per say. they are fine with it. the same people would come to each of their parties anyway, and you don't take the risk of alot showing to one and not the other due to party overload (especially at christmas time). this might change when they get older, with different groups of friends, but for now it works very well for us.
i think an option for you could be to have ind. like said above and then wait until jan to do a combo party. that way everyone is a little less stressed.
my kids look forward to their multiple parties, but i do make sure to request no presents so people won't feel obligated to buy two presents at once.
phew, that was long; typin one handed and nursing the babe (tahnk goodness she was born in dec!)
hth!
