My son is obsessed with trains. Our coffee table which he is currently using as his train table is getting very crowded and I'm planning on buying him a much larger table for him to set up his trains on. But the problem is the train tables I've seen are all extremely ugly and since it'll be sitting smack bang in the middle of the room I'd like it to look nicer. I don't really want the top to be painted with a landcape and hills etc. Any ideas for something large and somewhat cool looking? I could just buy a big table top and add legs but I think the storage drawers that train tables usually come with would be great for all the spare tracks and trains.

Here are a few cool ones. Beware- they aren't cheap. The last one is just an idea, it's a link to a nursery on flickr (I think the nursery was even featured on here a long time ago). In their nursery they used the ikea storage bins on wheels with a table over them.

OOPs. The last link was supposed to be of this playroom, not a repeat...

Isn't this the most clever booster seat you've ever seen?

dcmom-

Thanks for the links. I love the duc duc one but you're right, it's not cheap! I'm half tempted to make something myself!

reef,

If you decide to make something yourself and have questions, just email me at kiersten@modmomfurniture.com. I can give you names of great places on the web to get legs, how to make legs, etc...

Best of luck!

looking for a cup for my toddler that is more like a cup with a lid and a hole in it (almost like a coffee cup) rather than the regular sippy cups with spouts and valves.
baby cie makes one that is close to what i had in mind but has bad reviews - http://store.babycenter.com/product/feeding - nursing/solid feeding/sippy cups/sippy cup.do?asc=false
has anyone used these and liked them ?
thanks !
