Hi, has anyone bought quilts from Ikea? I want a winter warmth doona/quilt, but their warmest aren't box stitched. I'd love any feedback about quality/warmth/durability. And whether the stuff inside moves heaps and comes all uneven.
Thanks!!

My son is almost 4 months old and I've been told that an exersaucer or similar is something I should get for him soon. Any recommendations for a good quality and not too obnoxious one? Or is there something better than an exersaucer I should be investigating?
Thanks!

We skipped the exersaucer (too big and bulky!) and got a doorway jumper thing. Probably not as versatile, but our daughter loved it.

My daughter loved the exersaucer and refused to go near the doorway jumper after trying it once. Do you know anyone who has one that you could try before you buy?

My son loved both his exersaucer and his jumperoo, but hated the swinging chair. Definitely try to find one to test out before buying.
As for IKEA quilts, I don't have one, but I did buy a comforter cover and it bleeds so much that I have to be careful how I was it...and this is after several washings.

Maybe I will see if a friend has an exersaucer to borrow. Good idea. My son hates the swing, so does tend to be picky.

I bought the Bright Starts Tropical Fun Around We Go Activity Station (http://www.amazon.com/Bright-Starts-Tropical-Activity-Station/dp/B000LY3W00/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1209756061&sr=8-1) when my daughter (now 2 yrs) was 4 months old and it is absolutely THE BEST investment as far as kids toys go! Yes, it's a little more expensive than a regular exersaucer, but if you have the room and a few extra dollars, it's SOO worth it! Once they are old enough that they don't need the assistance of the seat, it is removable and you can use the table alone for playing and to hold snacks and cups (with a removable, washable tray for the snacks). My son is now 8 months old and he loves it as much as my daughter did. In fact, he loves to run around in circles chasing my daughter (it is absolutely hilarious to watch!) and she loves to play with the music and other activities even now at 2 years. Oh, and, the music that comes with it isn't the typical annoying baby toys songs so I love that it's something different from the other 1000 musical toys that we have. :)
I have heard many times that those doorway jumpers are bad for hip development. Never researched it myself, but you might want to look into that.
There was a post here not too long ago about an attractive (and extremely expensive) exersaucer type thing.

i have an exersaucer similiar to the evenflo for my 8 month old ... unfortunately ... it only keeps him happy sometimes ... at this age, i really have to think of creative ways to entertain him ... i guess the younger you are, it could be easier ... i never thought of buying one of those doorway jumpers ... but then i heard, if they can't walk yet, it's not good for them ... what do you think?? ... as far as the quilts from ikea ... i bought a duvet cover from there and it's only all right ... there isn't any buttons to close the cover up so i had to stitch some in ...

mjoe, I'm remembering a post about a really streamlined exersaucer-type thing, but I think it was a prototype and not out yet. Or maybe I'm thinking of something else. I'll do a search.
