Does anyone know where I can find a great childrens chair? My biggest issue is that I live in Canada (just outside of Toronto) and can't find any chairs that would actually go with adult settings and rooms. Anyone know of any companies? I am willing to drive to Buffalo or even Detroit if I have to. Thanks

What styles are you looking for and what is your budget? I think both those make a huge difference.

Our furniture is contemporary for a lack of better description. sleek with straight lines. I am not adverse to colour and actually prefer it. and I have up to $250 for this chair. Thanks for your help!

I would check http://www.allmodernbaby.com/Kids-Seating-C36623.html?refid=SG, they ship to Canada and they have lots of options.

http://www.modernbabyandhome.com/scripts/prodList_furniture.asp?idcategory=36has free shipping to Canada on orders over $250. They don't have a wide selection, but there are some great chairs.

Modernkid is another great site. http://modernkid.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=65_110&sort=20a&page=1

I hope that helps out a little bit!

Ikea makes a child-sized Poang: http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/10116552

It's not $250, however.

What are your thoughts on hanging a shelf above a changing table for diaper changing supplies? Is it dangerous?

For kids' chairs I like Offi and they sell to Canada (offi.com)

Design Public has lots of great modern kids' chairs on its site to give you ideas.

We decided against the shelf above the changing table because at a convenient height, we hit our heads on it and there was no way to stand the kid up without worrying. However, our changing table is quite long (its actually a buffet) and its in a corner, so we change our son on the end away from the corner, and put a shelf on the wall adjacent in the corner where things are still very accessible.

What are you planning to put on the shelf? Sacks of diapers, or bags of rocks? I should think that a properly mounted shelf would be no more dangerous above the changing table than it would be anywhere else.

However, I always stored my diapers in the cupboard under the changing pad, so I'm no help about the ergonomics of the whole operation.

Does anyone know where to find a corner crib?

our changing table is just a changing pad on top of a three drawer dresser from Ikea. I would store cloth diapers, creams, nailclippers, etc.... on the shelf.

Eowes, thanks for the tip about head bumping and kid standing, I'll keep that in mind when hanging the shelf.
