We've started our holiday shopping and I'm on the hunt for some play food that's appropriate for a one year old. My daughter loves pretending to cook, but she's only 15 months and most of the play food is listed as being for 3 years and up. Any suggestions??

Have you checked out some of the play food on etsy? there are some super cute play foods, but I am not totally sure on the ages.

Last year my son was about 19 months old and we bought him wooden food from www.oompa.com. Most of the food is listed as 3 years, but I just looked at the dimensions of every piece I ordered to make sure there was no way it could fit in his mouth. I ordered some of the bigger pieces. Make sure to look at the dimensions though, because the fruit is much smaller than you would imagine. Also, oompa has free shipping for orders over $65 and they have lots of other great, lead-free toys. We also bought my son a few of the wooden animals from the brand Holztiger and they are still played with a year later on a daily basis (just like the food). Good luck!

My Mum is looking to make my daughter felt food for her to play with!

We've looked on etsy, and some patterns are sold, but does anyone know of a good book to buy that's filled with patterns, so we don't have to buy them one by one?

thanks!
