Coming home from long walks, errands and the playground always means a souvenir or two picked up along the way. Sometimes it's a wildflower, some acorns, or an egg-shaped rock. But where to place temporarily place these little treasures?

We've decided to incorporate a landing strip for the kids. They're too young for keys and blackberries, but they definitely need a fixed and accessible place for found treasures. We love this simple idea of taking dishes and labeling them with stickers. You can create one for each kid so there's no fighting over possessions. You can see more pics over at Young House Love blog. Or try this similar idea using glass jars.
Great idea! And for those curious about the trays, the blog says they were purchased at World Market.
