Owyn Toy Box

owyn-toybox-1.jpgWe're pushovers for furniture with nature motifs, and the Owyn toy box is no exception. The leaf-shaped lids of this sleek birch plywood box are designed to be like puzzle pieces that are easy for small hands to take off and replace. And the observant among you will already have noticed the midcentury-inspired legs. Swoon.

owyn-toybox-2.jpgThis is the kind of piece that we can see having a long and useful life, from the nursery (storing diapers and wipes) to a child's room (storing toys and whatnot) to our room (storing top-secret grown-up things, plus candy).

Made from environmentally friendly birch plywood, using non-toxic paints and finishes, each made-to-order Owyn toy box measures 30 inches wide by 14 inches deep by 15.5 inches tall, a good size for storage without being so cavernously huge that toys get lost in the bottom.

I love it too. BTW, it's cheaper on Etsy at Modmom furniture--she's the one who makes them. I wonder if she takes more money home if you buy it directly from her than from a reseller like Modern Tots. Maybe, maybe not, but it's only $350 on Etsy.

We have these on Tiny Decor for $495 with free shipping...which ends up being the best deal available.

We love Mod Mom Furniture and carry all her toy boxes including the new Noah Owl Box.

Hi everyone! Tammy, thanks so much for the write-up!

As for pricing, yes, I do sell it for $350 on my Etsy store (shipping costs not included) because a large portion of my business still comes from Etsy and from folks who live in Los Angeles. I'm in LA so if you live in here, you're best bet is to buy through Etsy. If you live in or on the East Coast, do some comparison shopping between my Etsy site (I can provide shipping estimates - just send me a message) and my retailers, like Tiny Decor and Modern Tots. You may save some money buying through a retailer!

Either way, I'm thrilled! I'm such a small operation that having retailers out there also selling my goods makes it that much easier for those who don't know Etsy to find me.
