When we take our time to pack properly we find that it pays off. The statement was never so true as when we had children. Whether it's a morning at the museum or a two week trip overseas, things go more smoothly when we're prepared and know where things are. Naturally the Packtoozi Organizational System piqued our interest.

The System includes the Packtoozi Supply Headquarters - a hanging organizer that you keep at home as a centralized place to store supplies. The pockets are color-coded and labeled. You also get the Packtoozi packs, also color-coded and labeled. When ready you fill each pack with the supplies stored in the headquarters and put them all in the Packtoozi Tote. Unlike some diaper bags, the Tote has color-coded interior pockets to save you from digging to find that one item you need, which of course is at the very bottom.
The Packtoozi system is made of 100% organic cotton and is machine washable (on the delicate cycle)! The price is a bit steep but we think the idea of having a centralized place to keep supplies at home and access when its time to pack up the diaper bag is a great one!
"A bit steep?" This system costs $245! I always get suspicious of price when the posts don't mention it, and this time it was for good reason. $245 is a ripoff!
I mean, from what I can tell, you get a hanging organizer, four little bags and a big diaper bag. Who among us couldn't replicate that (and replicate it stylishly) for a third of the price -- or less?
Plus, you're supposed to keep all your stuff in the hanging organizer to make it easy to pack up when it's time to go. Considering one of the pockets is designated for eating utensils, where exactly are you supposed to keep this? In the child's room? In the kitchen? By the door? No matter where you keep it, stocking up this organizer will require lots and lots of running around time. You know, which diaper-bag-toting parents have in spades.
No thanks!

I've been using Packtoozi with my 2 little ones, and to me, organic cotton is worth every penny. It's soft and attractive, and I'm happy to help the environment.
Plus I was running up and down my house trying to find stuff and I was a total "diaper bag digger" - - until I started to use this system.
I love the whole thing!
