The so-called Cheesecake Screen comes in a variety of colors and is indeed modeled after Swiss, not Philadelphia, cheese. The three French designers behind Madaket are fond of mixing transatlantic metaphors. They named their company after visiting Nantucket, whose simple, chic style inspired them to start their own line of chic, contemporary furniture for kids in 2005.
