Before & After Antique Chair Alterations

We have a thing for old chairs. Seriously, it's a problem. Just when we thought we had hit out limit on rescuing (buying) more chairs from thrift stores and auctions, our diy heart skipped a beat. This easy and inexpensive makeover is enough to warrant at least a few more. See what all the fuss is about, after the jump!

Now, we thought we had pretty much written the book when it came to crazy chair makeovers, but this one takes the cake as far as we are concerned. Not only is it kid friendly 100% of the way through, it uses supplies found around most kid-friendly households or if they need to be purchased can be done so on the cheap!

Kim over at The Inadvertent Farmer simply blew us away with this simple yet sophisticated idea of... get this... putting stickers on chairs. On purpose! Seriously, you're kids are going to love this! Once adhered, they're primed and painted over and all of a sudden, you have this totally amazing custom chair.

It's the perfect accent to any kids space, in or out of the bedroom.
Thanks Kim!

OMG - I LOVE THIS! I have the perfect chair/candidate for this project. I think I'll be playing hookie from work this afternoon and heading to Michael's to buy some stickers... :-) Thanks for the great idea!!

I, too, am afflicted with an old chair addiction. I can't wait to try this!
