Hudson Paint: Chalkboard Paint in 24 Colors

We're thinking about re-painting a small playtable for our son and remembered the fabulous golden yellow chalkboard menu painted on the wall of this play kitchen. Time to pay a visit to Hudson Paint's site and see what this was all about.

We've read that you can make your own colored chalkboard paint by mixing black or green chalkboard paint with regular paint (Martha has a recipe if you want to try it), but we'd rather not buy twice the paint for a small project and we'd also rather know we're not going to screw it up.

Hudson Paint (named after the Hudson Valley in upstate New York where the paint is mixed) comes in 24 vibrant colors and is sold by the quart ($24.99) which works well for smaller projects. You can check out some projects made with colored chalkboard paint by some of Hudson Paint's customers here.

Have any Ohdeedohers tried this? Have a project to share?
