Talk about a great start to a nursery! Han-Mei and her husband Joe (secretly) painted this amazing mountain mural for his sister and brother-in-law's baby boy while they were attending birthing classes.
Look! Mountain Mural
Han-Mei had already proven her painting mettle with her lovely handpainted geisha wall in her former bedroom so she and Joe were prepared to summit this mountain mural.
Han-Mei describes their inspiration: They are both extremely athletic people who love the outdoors. They recently moved back to Oregon after completing Med School/ Residency and wanted an outdoorsy theme for their baby boy. Katie (sister) grew up in Oregon with Mt. Hood, the Three Sisters, etc. and her husband, Geoff, grew up skiing the mountains of Steam Boat Springs. After I had painted the geisha's on the wall of our last residence, Katie wanted us to paint them a room and told us they wanted mountains, so we went with that and decided the mountains of Oregon would be fun.
