Sharing a Bedroom: Folding Screens for Under $250

2009-04-foldingscreen.jpg

Do you share a bedroom with your baby? There are many complications with this arrangement, but for many parents it's a necessity. In addition to light and noise disturbing your child's sleep, another difficulty is that your baby can see you from their crib which may cause more frequent night wakings. Folding screens can help prevent this and can also be collapsed during the day if you prefer. We did some research to see what was out there for a reasonable price and found these options.

Frankly, we were a little surprised at how bland these options were. Painting or substituting some more interesting fabrics might be a good project, but we'd hoped to find more interesting options for sale. Do you use a folding screen in your bedroom? Have you seen any good ones we've missed?

These are pretty pricey. When we were living in Massachusetts, I found a nice, albeit boring, one for $50 at Ocean State Job Lot (sort of a regional Big Lots).
